Designing products, brands and experiences for early-stage tech product.
Hey, I'm Shina.
I'm a full-stack creative who designs and builds brands for early-stage tech companies: Perena.org, Sanctum.so.
I work across product, culture and IRL experiences, turning product ideas into things people can see, feel and touch, and creating meaningful value for both brands and product teams.
I started out as a UI/UX designer, obsessed with thoughtfully built interfaces. If you want to see my baby works →
That curiosity eventually pulled me into blockchain and DeFi. To me, it's a strange world where ponzis and genuinely meaningful products somehow coexist. I interned at the Solana Foundation researching blockchain technology, then went on to lead growth at Perena with a design-first approach.
Perena's brand stood out as one of the "most aesthetic", "safe looking", "premium" brands in the space, built through marketing campaigns, events, merch and physical experiences, and one of the key reasons users trusted us with their funds. Side note: our kimono and Perenimal plushies were among the most sought-after merch in the ecosystem at the annual conference.
More recently, I've been exploring products beyond crypto: building Solkimono, the fashion apparel product, its marketing and web interface, from scratch; and rebranding and redesigning the product experience for Solmi.ai, a leading AI music-video generator.
Sometimes, I paint to be inspired by the fundamental medium of art and creativity.
